World Energy Efficiency Day

The 1997 World Energy Efficiency Day will take place in Wels, Austria, on 6 March 1997. This annual event is organized by O.. Energiesparverband with financial support from the Community's SAVE and JOULE/THERMIE programmes. It is one of Europe's largest trade fairs in the field of energy efficiency, attracting over 200,000 visitors in 1996.
Speakers from across the world will present their ideas on how the world's energy resources can be used even more effectively in the future. World Energy Efficiency Day will showcase a wide range of successfully implemented projects demonstrating the viability of, and possibilities for, greater efficiency in the use of our energy resources. Participants will include experts and decision makers from all sectors of the business community, the energy industry, companies providing energy technologies, consultants, planners, universities and research institutions, as well as representatives of public administration.
