EuroChinatel - Telematics multimedia for education and healthcare

EuroChinatel, the first Euro-Chinese Conference on the Information Society will be held in Beijing, China, from 2 to 4 April 1997. Organized by AsiaCom, with the support of the European Commission and the Chinese State Science and Technology Commission, EuroChinatel will focus on telematics multimedia applications for education and healthcare.
The event will facilitate contact between those involved in education and training and healthcare, and decision-makers and technology developers, allowing exploration of the latest technological developments in the fields of tele-education, tele-training, tele-medicine and health telematics.
EuroChinatel will provide an overview of European and Chinese state-of-the-art telematics systems and research programmes. Contributions will concentrate on the potentials of products and product-oriented, leading-edge European and Chinese IT developments, against the background of the People's Republic of China. Institutional policies in telematics for healthcare and education will be presented by senior officials from both sides.
