Textile testing and standardization

An international seminar on "Textile testing and standardization" will take place in Guimaraes, Portugal, on 17-18 April 1997. The event is being organized by the Innovation Relay Centre Gallicia.
The seminar will present:
- New methods and instruments for the measurement of mechanical, chemical and thermal properties of fibres, yearns and flat textile products;
- New or recent standards for testing the quality of fibres, yearns and fabrics.
A proposal for a new standard on the objective assessment of the thermal-contact feeling of fabrics will also be put forward.
