STM'97, the Ninth International Conference on Scanning Tunnelling Microscopy/Spectroscopy and Related Techniques, will be held in Hamburg, Germany, from 20 to 25 July 1997. The conference is organized with the support of the European Community's Standards, Measurements and Testing (SMT) specific RTD programme.
The conference will focus on techniques in the field of microscopy/spectroscopy including scanning tunnelling, scanning force, scanning near-field optical, and other related scanning probe methods. The programme will include plenary sessions, invited speakers and contributed papers. In addition, there will be symposia on selected topics with panel discussions, poster sessions and vendor exhibitions.
