The European Multimedia Forum is organizing a conference on "Financing ICT Ventures", to be held in Brussels, Belgium, on 9 June 1997.
The aim of the conference will be to explore how small European companies active in the field of information and communications technologies can make themselves interesting to potential financing sources, and how the financing sector can learn to become profitably involved in these companies.
The conference will look at private as well as public sources of finance, including: venture capitalists, banks, regional authorities, research parks, etc. The potential role of the European Community's Fifth RTD Framework Programme will be examined.
