Vibration measurements by laser techniques
The Conference will provide a forum in which experts in the field of optical instrumentation and industrial users of such measurement instruments can come together, from all over the world, to present their activities and innovative approaches in the field of vibration measurements and their applications.
The Conference programme will be built around the following research and application areas:
- New and advanced measurement techniques (doppler velocimetry, holography, interferometry, speckle);
- Laser vibrometry technology;
- Signal processing;
- Modal analysis;
- Energy propagation in structures;
- Vehicles (automotive, aerospace, trains, naval transportation);
- Microengineering (microelectronics, hard disk drives, microsensors, micromechanics);
- Sound and noise (vibroacoustics, loudspeakers, musical instruments);
- Calibration (accuracy, linearity, definition and measurement of non-conventional, non-traceable, physical, chemical or biological parameters which are essential for the understanding of the properties of potential industrial products);
- Large-scale vibrations (civil structures, etc.);
- Medicine (hearing devices, cardiovascular devices);
- Measurements for the needs of society (comfort, safety, household appliances, human body, works of art, etc.);
- Production control (structural fault detection, quality assurance, condition monitoring, preventive maintenance, damping techniques).
The conference will be preceded by a one-day tutorial course on "Laser techniques for vibration measurement" which will offer hands-on experience of the most recent instrumentation.
