An International Symposium on Energy Systems will take place in Ossiach, Carinthia, Austria, from24 to 26 September 1997. The symposium, which is organized by Verbundplan-Drauconsulting GmbH, will focus on "The alliance of politics, industry and research", regarded as being essential for coping with future energy system challenges worldwide.
Participants in the symposium will include experts from the political, industrial and research sectors, as well as from non-governmental organizations and other interested parties. Regional emphasis will be placed on Austria, the EU Member States and the neighbouring countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
