EVA'97 Brussels, a one-day conference on electronic imaging and the visual arts, will be held in Brussels, Belgium, on 26 November 1997. The event is part of a series of European conferences supported by the European Commission through the ESPRIT programme, and is timed to coincide with the annual European Information Technology Conference (EITC).

The central theme of the conference will be "Delivering the future", with particular emphasis on the following main topics:

- International cooperation in ICT RTD in the visual and performing arts;
- Culture and electronic commerce: the cultural economy;
- The role of culture in the Fifth Framework Programme;
- Emerging technologies and the cultural sector;
- Electronic cultural services for citizens: the cultural Information Society;
- Quality: targeting and evaluation.

Other EVA events already scheduled include:

- EVA'97 Thessaloniki, 9-11 October 1997;
- EVA'97 Berlin, 12-14 November 1997;
- EVA'98 Florence, 23-28 March 1998;
- EVA'98 GIFU-Japan, 6-10 April 1998;
