Virtual Systems and Multimedia '97

VSSM '97, the third annual conference of the Society of Virtual Systems and Multimedia will take place in Geneva, Switzerland, from 10 to 12 September 1997. The event will be held during TELECOM Inter@ctive, which takes place in Geneva from 8 to 14 September.

The conference will provide a forum for virtual reality and multimedia, allowing researchers to exchange up-to-date technological knowledge and experience. Presentations at VSMM will be through panels and discussions only, allowing researchers to discuss the significance of their research results with the others at the same session.

Conference topics will include:

- Multimedia;
- Human Interface and Sensing;
- Intelligent Systems and Robotics;
- Medical and Applications;
- Modelling and Theory.

An outline of European Community research activities in the field will be given by a programme officer from the European Commission. Participants will receive the latest information on current and future funding opportunities and research activities.
