The fourth international conference of the "Verband Sachsischer Bildungsinstitute" (Saxony Training Institute) will be held in Leipzig, Germany, on 4-6 December 1997. The theme of this year's conference will be "Education 2000 - Learning and teaching in the Information Society".
The aim of the conference is to raise awareness among further education trainers and their partners of the new opportunities and challenges offered by the Information Society and of the urgent need for further training in this area. The intermediary results of the "Forum 2000" initiative and the European Year of Lifelong Learning will be presented and participants will be given the opportunity to discuss possibilities for cooperation within European networks.
