MILIA'98 - Multimedia in an international context

The MILIA'98 international conference and exhibition in the field of multimedia will take place in Cannes, France, from 8 to 11 February 1998. Organized by Reed Midem, the event will provide an international overview of the multimedia market.
The MILIA'98 conference programme will focus in particular on the new synergies between online, new enabling technologies, multimedia games, TV, film and animation. The creative and business issues influencing interactive content development and distribution, such as DVD-ROM, will be looked at in depth.
The event will include plenary conference sessions, with presentations by keynote speakers from across the world, and a number of special events including: a Partnership Forum for the cartoon animation and interactive entertainment sector; and a Business and Investment Forum displaying a selection of the best and brightest new projects and technologies. A "New Talent Pavilion" will also display 30 projects submitted by students in multimedia training programmes and selected by an international jury of experts. In addition, a team of high-level digital media consultants will be available for private consultations (by appointment).
The winners of the annual MILIA D'OR awards for the work best interactive media achievements will be announced during the MILIA'98 gala ceremony on 10 February 1998.
