TOOLMET'98, a symposium on tool environments and development methods for intelligent systems, will take place in Oulu, Finland, on 16 and 17 April 1998. Organized by the University of Oulu, the symposium will bring together scientists and users to discuss and exchange new ideas and application experiences.
The main topics to be covered in discussions and presentations will be fuzzy and fuzzy-neural technology. As well as general intelligent application tools, there will be presentations of different applications of fuzzy logic and neural networks technologies in industries such as: pulp and paper; steel; electronic manufacturing and telecommunications; and medical healthcare.
