World conference on science and technology parks

The 15th world conference on science and technology parks, organized by the International Association of Science and Technology Parks (IASP), will be held in Perth, Australia, from 18 to 23 October 1998.

The theme of the conference is "Business partnerships for global opportunities" and the organizers aim to make the event an excellent opportunity for participants from throughout the world to develop business contacts. Five main themes will be addressed by the conference:

- Commercialization of knowledge;
- Developing strategies for regional innovation;
- Business partnerships/networking/globalization;
- Economics of science parks;
- Science park case studies.

In addition to the conference, there will also be a trade exhibition, at which a range of companies providing services and products of interest to science and technology-focused organizations will exhibit.
