INTERTECHNOLOGY'98 - Investment opportunities in Poland

INTERTECHNOLOGY'98, an international trade fair on new technologies, innovations and inventions, will be held in Lodz, Poland, from 4 to 6 June 1998. The event, organized with support from the EU's Innovation Relay Centre network, will provide an ideal forum for the exploration of high-technology investment opportunities in Poland.

The event will feature an extensive exhibition area covering the following:

- New products and technologies developed in R&D centres and in innovative companies;
- Technology offers (products and ideas) and business opportunities for SMEs;
- New technologies in computer-aided design, fast prototyping and product design;
- Investment opportunities in Poland, including business opportunities in regions, special economic zones and technology parks.

The INTERTECHNOLOGY'98 symposium will include a series of invited lectures given by leading experts in the field of innovation and technology transfer. The main topics to be covered will include:

- Development of a technology transfer infrastructure in Poland;
- Implementation of technology transfer on different levels;
- New possibilities of cooperation between research and industry;
- Business and innovation centres: regional support to SMEs;
- Special economic zones and technology parks in Poland;
- Industrial design in the modern enterprise.

Companies and individuals participating in the event will have the opportunity to present their products and technologies during company promotion seminars and informal discussions.
