ESPRIT programme Industry Information Day

An information day focusing on the final ESPRIT call for proposals will be held in Coventry, UK, on 10 March 1998. The event is jointly organized by the Institute of European Trade and Technology (IETT) and the Midlands Innovation Relay Centre on behalf of the UK Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

Participants will learn about the areas to be covered in the final ESPRIT call, which will be launched on 17 March 1998. Two workshops will be held during the day, on the following themes:

- Integration in Manufacturing - issues which have impacted on specific projects during proposal, execution and exploitation phases will be examined through the presentation of case studies;

- Project Management Best Practice - this workshop is aimed particularly at newcomers to EU R&D projects and will discuss the challenges of managing such projects, providing advice on how to ensure a successful outcome.

Professional advice will be available throughout the day from a range of professionals, including DTI and Commission staff, and prospective proposers will have the opportunity of meeting potential partners. Participants will also be able to attend demonstrations of CORDIS, the Community R&D Information Service, and the PROSOMA Esprit results service.
