We will focus on obtaining devices with the highest control of spin currents. The proposal will be realized in iterative steps between preparation, advanced characterization, and theoretical prediction. We propose to reinforce Spintronic area in EU, especially now that the possibility of integrating magnetic materials in microelectronic is a real fact. The joint research in the frame of ULTIMATE-I project is expected to impulse both research and innovation (R&I) in two continents as well as to have wide-reaching implications in different sectors of the modern society. Modern society that see as greater contribution the knowledge-based economy. This partnership can enable the development of new products and transfer of technology to new markets avoiding losing European excellence certified by a large number of funded projects, published papers and patents. We are aware that this only works if the excellent science is linked to a business-oriented roadmap for spintronic applications. We highlight, in section 2.1 the importance and advance of Spintronic in the area of Magnetic sensors that have high economic impact and it is partly developed at EU. Our aim is to contribute, from the excellence of basic research, to industrial motivation to apply interesting ideas into novel, potentially disruptive approaches for including on future products. We can highlight the benefit as:
1. The cooperation proposed in this project will lead to a capacity building for skilled occupations, which can leverage the efforts of the EU in a globally R&D competitive position.
2. Contribution to closing the innovation skill gaps between industry and academy, by offering training on industry-relevant complementary skills, and by offering industry-relevant research approaches through its nonacademic secondments.
3. The increasing motivation and investments in research and innovation, through the participation of a spinoff company in a research project, benefit the integration with SME and Academy.
4. The participation of emerging economies like South America that will allow the EU partners to understand their national and international priorities, current trends and future requirements.
5. In the same direction, we cannot forget either the active cooperation with USA, as leader in top-class science and technology.
6. The integration of talented and motivated ESRs from third countries, capable to work immediately in the rapidly developing areas of smart nanomaterials, and technologies, both in academic and industrial sectors is very important.
7. The joint training of young researchers from Europe and participating Third Countries will be strongly grounded on mutual communications and networking to improve the level of transfer knowledge. Within the ULTIMATE-I network, with sharing of the resources for joint training, such level becomes not only possible but also highly competitive on the international level.
8. The action will disseminate the European human values and Research strategies outside
