COhort cOmmunity Research and Development Infrastructure Network for Access Throughout Europe

Periodic Reporting for period 2 - COORDINATE (COhort cOmmunity Research and Development Infrastructure Network for Access Throughout Europe)

Okres sprawozdawczy: 2022-10-01 do 2024-03-31

The acronym COORDINATE stands for Cohort community research and development infrastructure network for access throughout Europe. Focusing on an evidence based approach to the wellbeing of children and young people, COORDINATE brings together scientists and policy makers, facilitates access to existing data resources, facilitates comparative analysis of survey data and initiates an important new Europe wide birth cohort study.
In the first 36 months, a Transnational Access programme has been developed and successfully implemented. Many visits have now taken place where researchers across Europe were supported in undertaking scientific projects on existing survey data on child wellbeing. In addition, a comprehensive mapping has been completed of people and organisations which are important in some aspect of the scientific study of and policy cycle relating to child wellbeing. A range of training courses on statistics and data management have been supported and two summer schools have taken place which have focused on longitudinal data analysis. Finally, an important new comparative longitudinal survey (Growing Up in Digital Europe) has been successfully piloted in Croatia, Finland, France, and Irelands.
COORDINATE will initiate and embed a broad community of scientists and policy makers working to enhance child wellbeing across Europe using cutting edge methodologies in regard to longitudinal survey data collection. By the end of COORDINATE the pilot survey will showcase the importance of the GUIDE study providing the highest quality longitudinal evidence on how children’s wellbeing changes over the life course across Europe.
