ExtenSive partners started the project with the specification phases. The first part of the work carried out during the first period served to highlight the outputs of previous projects, in particular Maasive, in order to use them as a starting point for the project's functionality specifications. The first period, we focused on the specification of the SaaS architecture that will ensure easy and scalable integration of TSPs. A status quo analysis of the current architecture was done, to identify suited services for the SaaS platform to be developed in the next period
The second period started the implementation phase, providing an testing the first prototype of SaaS solution, several releases of the Travel Companion, and new solutions such as : map interface, collaborative space, Orchestration and supervision tool, Mixed Reality Experiences.
Collaboration were setup, with IP2/LinX4Rail, and also with IP3/In2stempo. In the later case, the research has to be interrupted because of a change in station.
In addition, the consortium provided a first draft version of the deployment of a large and distributed solution that enable European roaming, thereby achieving efficient and functional mobility across Europe. The world started on the analysis of the GDPR failures was achieved and the first business study was carried out. The developped features were tested during the several dissemination events of the project.
The third, and final period, saw the end of the implementation phase. All work started during 2nd period came to its conclusion. The Travel Companion final release was released. The developments related to all the modules and components deployed at the core of the IP4 ecosystem were finalized for features such as shopping, ticketing and trip tracking. The architecture and component for SaaS solution were implemented. Algorithms exploiting IP2/IP4 data integration were developped for capacity forecasting and incidents management. The interaction between IP3/IP4 was resumed, and components were developped to improve the travelling experience exploiting station infrastructure information for localization, guidance and ticketing.
The conclusion of the technical and business studies were drawn and delivered in order to pave the way to large-scale implementations.
The results obtained during this period were extensively tested and demonstrated during the IP4Maas pilots that took place until June 2023, and also during Extensive-specific events such as : Final event, WP10 demonstration.
