Report analyzing the behavior and production from the wind and wave farms to assess the results of a joint operation of the two farms, determine the level of complementarity between them and infer on the possible expansion of the wind+wave concept. The analysis will be performed based on the production data collected from both farms.Sound and data-based assessment of a combined wave and wind farm with a clear indication of the benefits and limitations of the solution and also recommendations of the use of other technologies to strengthen the “hybrid” model (PV, storage, Hydrogen)Related to Task 4.8

To ensure a tailored program for certain stakeholders during the engagement program in the NL, BE and PT and additional contact points with these stakeholders outside these events, an engagement plan document will be specifically designed for three countries DMEC (NL), WAVEC (PT) and BA (BE). In this deliverable, insurability and risks considering collocation and multi-source parks will be addressed. Different combinations of renewable energy sources (wind-wave, wind-solar and wind-wave-solar) for installed power capacity varying from 20-100MW will be considered. Report will build upon feedback from technical document review, specification/qualification status, risk assessment.The goal is to review insurability status and risks linked to multi-source parks to integrate 20-100MW wind/solar/wave systems.This deliverable relates to WP5 and corresponds to deliverable linked to Task WP7.1.

The whitepaper will detail the work conducted using learning curve models to identify likely cost reductions and technology improvements for these projects as they scale, across a range of timeframes, and identifying potential revenue scenarios. Success Indicators: a) Credible scenarios and data produced to support the financial analysis and business case for future offshore energy park scenarios.b) Learning Rate methodology and results disseminated via case studies/publications.

This deliverable will focus on planning the robotics monitoring activities on BE and PT demos. It will describe the robotic assets, the capabilities, and the applicability for monitoring environmental and O&M aspects that will be also defined within the scope of task 5.4.

Report on an optimal offshore tender design and consenting process (multi-source parks): aim is to provide templates and lessons-learned in this project and on the basis of best practice reviews in different Member States, who already have multi-use of wind park area in their planning (e.g. BE, NL, PT, UK) and surveys and interviews with multilateral banks (also in other regions), the OECD, trade associations and others, where the balance between Green Deal goals, renewable (offshore) energy goals, economic viability, environmental impact and concession obligations are taken into account. Indicators are the report availability itself, the to be included templates and the summing up of lessons-learned. This links to specific task 2.3.

LCOE Analysis for baseline project scenarios - Baseline financial models built in the Exceedence software and exported to a summary report for a range of combined offshore renewable energy projects, based on data provided by the consortium partners and from wider industry information. Success Indicator: Baseline financial models produced and agreed by the consortium.

a) In collaboration with other partners and via a market model on the Iberian (INESC TEC), BeNeLux (DMEC) and Irish (EXC) electricity market the selling price of electricity generated via wave, offshore solar PV and offshore wind are calculated in an hourly rate. b) This will allow to compare the business case of multi-source parks with single source parks and the role of other offshore renewables then wind. c) Linked to task 6.6

This deliverable will examine the renewable energy overlap of stochastic conditions, the analysis will consider different “time windows” for the base resource, and assess its complementarity with other stochastic renewables. Aim of the deliverable is the estimation of overlap and production of mean maps that indicate to which extend each resource is connected, in terms of potential, will be provided. It is expected that the wind and wave resources will produce higher interest, due to their temporal variability. However, peak solar performance will also be analysed in terms of overlap with wind and/or wave.

Report on the socio-economic impacts of the large-scale implementation of offshore renewable energy in the considered regions, with a particular focus on job creation. The document will synthetize the consortium’s views on the societal benefits of developing offshore renewable energy projects in the regions of interest.The deliverable will consist in a guide to promote the project’s outcomes through the relevant community in the considered regions.The deliverable is an outcome of the work to be conducted in the scope of Task 2.2.

Detailed resource maps for three locations (odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)

Annual mean, maxima and variation maps for all resources will be provided for the higher resolution domains. The analysis will deliver comprehensive resource assessment maps, based on the higher resolution datasets from the project. The aim of this deliverable is to analyse numerous TB of data, assess the resource, provide long-term climatic descriptions and develop a methodology for the site selection of different technologies. The deliverable will then be used for the energy system model and also for communication purposes.

Analysis of coarse wind-wave-solar data to provide reconnaissance of the resources, over Europe. Intra-annual and seasonal means will be estimated, the maps according to international standards. Aim of the package is to produce coarse, only useful as first layer reconnaissance data to identify potential areas of interest, that benefit from higher fidelity and more detailed models.
