Rezultaty
We will develop protocols for sampling and analysis covering the methods applied for assessing the exposure of children to pollutants. The protocols will include sampling strategies for on-line and offline methods, analytical procedures and QA/QC protocols in order to obtain harmonized data at all sampling locations. They will also address the characterization of sampling locations.
Burden of disease modelling and integrated risk assessment methodology (odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)D5.3 will focus on methods applied for burden of disease modelling (based on the WHO AirQ+ Health Impact Assessment) and integrated risk assessment. The latter will address risks related to exposure to multiple pollutants, individually and in combination, and identified hazards. A hazard characterization will derive quantitative and qualitative toxicological threshold values for use in the risk assessment approach.

It gives first insights into the project's formative evaluation gathered from the collection of empirical data and analyses first lessons learned derived from the different test beds.

The exposure model aims to determine the exposure both at individual and collective (population) scales considering all the micro-environments visited by the children during 24 hours. A microenvironmental model will be developed to consider indoor/outdoor variability of pollutants. In addition, new mathematical modules will be integrated on toxicokinetics, internal dose and target tissue dose assessment in the Assessment Tool. Software algorithms, report on models' description and application will be available also.
