Initiative to Support, Promote and Integrate Researchers at Risk in Europe PLUS

Organise first of 3 annual platform events in association with annual events of PAUSE programme/PSI, facilitate sharing of experiences across countries and between researchers and employers, inviting high-level participation of ministries, national agencies, media, European policymakers and other stakeholders (PAUSE and AvH to lead)

Preliminary list of topics below:•Topic 1—Offering remote fellowships•Topic 2 – Career assessments for researchers at risk•Topic 3 – Peer and mentoring approaches•Topic 4 – Collaboration with industry and society•Topic 5 – Integration of researchers into institutional internationalisation efforts including inter-institutional collaboration and international networks.Inspireurope+ will seek out synergies with other EU-funded projects working on related topics. This will primarily include inviting relevant experts from other EU-funded projects to speak at Inspireurope+ events, webinars, and information sessions. In at least 3 of the WP2 and WP3 trainings, 6 to 8 collaborations will be evident with European research and innovation networks and with related EU-funded projects supporting researchers and students at risk, refugees, migrants, human rights defenders and other at-risk groups, and/or projects promoting academic freedom, and MSCA National Contact Points. This will include inviting relevant experts from other EU-funded projects to speak at Inspireurope+ events, webinars, and information sessions, and taking up invitations from their projects to speak at events and other information-sharing opportunities. At least 3 WP2 and WP3 activities will reflect or promote joint activities with 10 to 15 businesses/non-academic sector stakeholders.
