A generic framework for selection of the most promising CCUS value chains

Methodology and results of SWOT analysis of the most promising CCUS value chains will be reported. The most cost- and CO2 reduction-effective CO2 use options and CO2 storage sites will be revealed together with suitable CO2 transport infrastructure.

High-level regional mapping of emission sources, utilisation industry and infrastructure in the two ZEN regions

Database with documentation and guidelines The use and value of the database will be presented in the form of a tutorial or similar at an event hosted by the project

A framework for regional high-level technical screening of promising CCUS value chains

A document describing lessons learned from operating and developing CCUS cluster projects worldwide.

Techno-economic assessment – Executive summary

Master document summarizing main results and preferred options for the two selected CCUS value chains.

Identification of potential PCI

Potential new PCIs and interested stakeholders will be identified in two regions. The workshop with stakeholders will be organised. The new PCIs and planned infrastructure will be described in the report.

CCUS value chains for the two CCUS ZEN regions selected for further development in WP4

Integrated technical and nontechnical data, CO2 transport and CO2 use options will be shown at the common maps and described in the report. The most prospective CCUS value chains from two regions will be selected for WP4.

Identification of promising CCUS value chains for further analysis in WP3

A document describing CCUS value chains in each of the two ZEN regions including technical requirements for CCUS integration

Planning and execution of three webinars for consortium members, partners and other stakeholders on relevant topics relating to barriers and opportunities (of non-technical nature).

White paper with recommendations for incentivization

Collaborative drafting and publication of a white paper with recommendations for political, regulatory or financial incentivization and alignment of contributors in various geographies to a CCUS value chain including policy scenarios.
