The project has been finished as planned, with all expected results throughout the second period completed as planned and uploaded to the European reporting portal.
All planned milestones for the second project period were also achieved as planned thanks to efficient project management structures as well as effective communication processes that have been made use of throughout the project. All the key bodies involved, such as the Project Management Committee and the Scientific-Technical Committee, have worked according to the roadmaps and in addition, the consortium has had the help of the Space4Green Advisory Board. The Consortium has maintained close collaboration for the implementation of communication and monitoring strategies along vertical structures in work packages and tasks, as well as horizontal structures within end-users and communities.
The work carried out by each technical WP is summarized below:
-WP2: The solution architecture was finalized based on the first period’s design, integrating pilot feedback and cybersecurity evaluations. Workflow diagrams were refined, and the application and server components were fully designed. Security analyses under the Common Criteria standard ensured compliance with certification requirements
-WP3: The final versions of mobile applications and the Space4Green server were developed, incorporating feedback from cybersecurity reviews, WP4 tests, and pilots to meet user needs. GNSS and OSNMA components were integrated to enhance signal processing, while third-party system integration was implemented. The application includes camera, gallery, registration, and signature services. The server now leverages KSI blockchain, with user management, business rules, and OSNMA verification successfully implemented and tested.
-WP4: All components were integrated into a unified solution and subjected to comprehensive testing. A testing infrastructure and plan were implemented, and the SDK for blockchain-based applications was developed and evaluated. Security and vulnerability testing ensured a robust solution.
-WP5: Six use cases in five locations demonstrated SPACE4GREEN’s capabilities in real-world conditions, focusing on crop monitoring, food supply chain transparency, and sustainability compliance. Trials highlighted the integration of Galileo OSNMA, blockchain for traceability, and Environmental Sustainability Index (ESI) metrics. Results informed iterative improvements in system functionality and user experience.
The consortium has reported on deliverables D2.4 D3.2 D4.3 D5.1 and D5.2.
