This deliverable will include an extensive analysis of the state of the art in the energy storage solutions domain. It will make an elaborate presentation of the barriers that hinder the wide-spread deployment of the different forms of storage. Within this deliverable the regulatory framework surrounding Energy storage will be reviewed and assessed and finally the document will include a detailed presentation of the use-cases coming partially from the project pilots. Success Criteria: The definition of the use-cases. (Task 2.1, Task 2.2, Task 2.4).

i-STENTORE services co-creation, business models, functional specifications and Reference Architecture (2nd version) (odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)

This deliverable will update Deliverable 2.2 after the completion of the pre-demo phase, taking into account the lessons learnt and the feedback received during this first period. Success Criteria: Update of the definition of services and design of the Architecture(Tasks 2.3, 2.5, 2.6).

i-STENTORE Living Lab’s operation and demos’ execution documentation (pre-demo) (odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)

This deliverable will document all details surrounding the operation of the Living-Lab and the project pilots during the pre-demo phase and will provide all the necessary documentation.General and technical details about the demo deployment, the on-site details, the scenarios, the integration and the initial operation will be documented. Early results will be identified.Success Criteria: Availability of the report in terms of the pre-pilot scope. (Tasks 4.2, 4.3, 4.4, 4.5, 4.6, 4.7).

This deliverable will include the early specification of the distinct services that will be provided by the integrated storage systems deployed in the project and also the services provided by the VPP and other project tools. Moreover, the initial business models governing the operation of the systems and facilitating their access to markets will be defined. The functional specifications of all building blocks will be analyzed. Finally, this deliverable will include a first description of the i-STENTORE reference architecture. Success Criteria: Definition of services and design of the Architecture. Tasks (2.3, 2.5, 2.6).

Communication, dissemination, exploitation and market exploration, standardisation and community building (1st progress report and plan ) (odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)

This document will report the dissemination, communication and exploitation activities performed during the first 18 months, the results achieved and an updated version of the respective plans. Standardisation activities will be documented and the effort towards the creation of a European technological value chain for storage will be documented in terms of concrete activities. Finally, the clustering activities with other projects and Initiatives of the EC will be documented. Success Criteria: The document should report the achieved results and the new/updated plans.(Tasks 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4, 6.5, 6.6)

i-STENTORE evaluation results and lessons learnt, replication / scalability roadmap, multi-dimensional impact assessment, regulation briefing (1st version) (odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)

This deliverable will include the detailed evaluation of the results coming from the demos and the operation of the living lab, during the pre-demo phase. The deliverable will identify important lessons learnt and will define a first version of the replicability and scalability roadmap for the whole project. An impact assessment will also be included in different dimensions (economic, technological, environmental, societal, regulatory, etc.) and concrete recommendations towards regulators and policy makers will be defined. Success Criteria: Availability of the 1st version of the document referring to the pre-demo phase. (Tasks 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4, 5.5, 5.6)

Communication and dissemination planThis deliverable will define and present in detail the plan for the dissemination and communication activities of the whole i-STENTORE project. Success criteria: Availability of a concrete plan with specific milestones and KPIs. Task 6.1.

Data Management Plan (odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)

This Deliverable will summarize the Data management and IPR protection procedures that will be followed during the course of the project. It will provide the analysis of the Data management policy and the Data management lifecycle for the datasets that will be collected, processed or generated by the project. Success Criteria: The availability of the report. (Task 1.4).

This deliverable will perform an update of the D3.1 making the necessary changes based on the pre-pilot phase progress and the increased maturity from the side of the pilots. Success Criteria: The availability of the document (Task 3.1)

i-STENTORE energy storage technologies evolution (1st technology release) (odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)

This deliverable will include the detailed description of the storage technologies that will be deployed in the i-STENTORE pilots. The document will describe the innovation that these technologies per se or their integrated design bring and will include all the advancements that will be made in order to fit into the i-STENTORE framework. Success Criteria: The availability of the document (Task 3.1)

i-STENTORE digital ecosystem (digital tools and platforms, virtual power control, data governance, flexibility services) (1st technology release) (odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)

This deliverable will include a preliminary description of all demo-proprietary tools and the improvements that will be performed so that they fit well into the i-STENTORE framework. The deliverable will also include the presentation of the design of the horizontal tools and components that will be developed in i-STENTORE, namely the VPP, the data governance middleware and the interfaces to existing infrastructure and systems, the implementation of the flexibility services provided by storage technologies and the implementation of the integrated i-STENTORE digital platform. Success Criteria: Operational versions of all vertical and horizontal tools and successful integration into the i-STENTORE digital platform (partial functionality - 1st Release). (Tasks 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 3.5, 3.6, 3.7)
