CORDIS oferuje możliwość skorzystania z odnośników do publicznie dostępnych publikacji i rezultatów projektów realizowanych w ramach programów ramowych HORYZONT.

The communication, dissemination & exploitation Plan of SafeCom are as follows:1. Open access publications: At least 3 high quality publications containing the essential scientific developments of SafeCom will be published in international peer-reviewed journals for effectively disseminating the research results. Top ranked (according to their SNIP index) international journals such as ‘Composite Science and Technology’, ‘Physical Review E’, ‘Journal of Sound and Vibration’ and ‘Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing’ are targeted. Granting immediate green open access upon publication (through the KU Leuven’s publication repository Lirias which is open access and OpenAIRE compliant) to all produced publications is also of significant importance for maximising their worldwide visibility and the chances of being identified by the future beneficiaries.2. International Conferences: Dissemination of the results to the industrial and academic sectors will also be delivered through participation to high-calibre international conferences (e.g., IWSHM, EMI, ASC, ICCM e.t.c), also attracting industrial audience interested in ‘SHM’ as well as in ‘numerical modelling of composite structures’. 3. Workshop organisation: The scientific and technological developments will be communicated to targeted industrial and academic researchers through the SafeCom dedicated Workshop day organised at the KU Leuven, GTC. About 20 (external to SafeCom) attendants will be invited to the Workshop. The Fellow will organize the workshop with the help of the Supervisor, who has important prior experience on workshop organisation. 4. Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) management: Potential exploitable results will be communicated to the KU Leuven Research & Development (LRD) for collaborating with industries and securing and licencing IPR. In that case KU Leuven will have the sole right to exploit it commercially.5. Direct dissemination to academia: SafeCom’s research outcomes will be directly communicated to the Supervisor’s collaborators and research group members through weekly meetings.6. Public engagement: i) The hardware (experimental) part of SafeCom’s technological demonstrator will be employed (also after the end of the project) during school visits at KU Leuven along with accompanying information on the importance of structural inspection and maintenance. Demonstrators along with accompanying informative posters and presentations have proved particularly efficient for inspiring and exciting the curiosity of young visitors in the developed technologies.ii) A dedicated website will be created devoted to disseminating and promoting SafeCom’s research outcomes. iii) An excellent channel for achieving public engagement is through the preparation of at least two articles which will be published in ‘popular engineering webpages’ such as ‘theengineer.co.uk’ and ‘sciencedaily.com’. The same articles will also be published online on SafeCom’s and KU Leuven’s websites. These articles will popularize the developments to the non-expert public and will increase the societal awareness on structural design challenges.iv) With the assistance of the graphic designing team of KU Leuven, the Fellow will prepare a SafeCom logo as well as a short video animation illustrating in a form of cartoon, the challenge of continuously inspecting composite structures under challenging operational conditions.
All the research data along with its metadata will be made available in the KU Leuven’s data repository RDR or Zenodo. Other researchers can access and reuse those for their research purpose without any issues. All the research data will be stored or preserved as per the research data management policies of KU Leuven. The research data will be discoverable, accessible, intelligible, assessable and reusable. Research progress reports will also be made available on the repository KU Leuven GitLab. An open-source MATLAB code including the computational method developed in WP2 of SafeCom will be published under the GNU General Public License. This will be available for download through sourceforge.net. As required by Annex II of the grant agreement, the beneficiary shall ensure that all publications and presentations by members of the project consortium acknowledge the EU financial support received.
