Final Report Summary - HYPOXICMICRORNAS (Deciphering the microRNA response to hypoxia)
This project enabled the identification of mechanisms through which organisms are able to cope with environmental stressors. We identified the genes (microRNAs) that control these responses. In addition, we identified a mechanism through which a microRNA regulates neuronal migration. The conserved nature of the mechanisms we identified posits that we have elucidated mechanisms that may be relevant to human disease.
