Noise induced Phenomena and complex Systems

Cel

Study of the relevant physical-chemical characteristics of pattern formation and propagation phenomena in order to establish the role of those results as a tool to study and test the behaviour of more complex systems.

To determine non-equilibrium potentials in order to have a tool to obtain information about the dynamical aspects of the system and to exploit those potentials for the study and a deeper understanding of pattern formation, stochastic resonance in extended systems, synchronization phenomena.

Determination of optimal noise conditions to enhance and make more robust the response of systems showing stochastic resonance. Study new mechanisms producing noise-induced phase transitions, and its application to problems to coupled Brownian motors.

Modelling of problems of social and/or economic interest, in order to be able to make detailed analysis of the role of the different parameters on the dynamics of such systems.
