Set-up and Testing of a web-intensive Collaborative Inventive TTT service with the overall goal to trigger cross-sectorial networking of stakeholders in the global market

Cel

IRCs pioneered Transnational Technology Transfer (TTT) in Europe. Although they embrace the TTT mission widely, core business and key results are mainly focused on SMEs. The introduction of Open Innovation paradigms by large enterprises validated this pioneering approach by EC. YET2.com was launched to exploit IPR assets from large companies. However successful TTT conclusions are still limited and require the concurrent involvement of multidisciplinary teams.

The process is time consuming and resource intensive, with average unit costs for delivering a TTT agreement too high, making the process as of today not self-sustainable. D'Appolonia, in the last 15 years of experience within the European Space Agency Technology Transfer Programme, has experienced the effectiveness of proactive TTT as complement to traditional market pull and technology push approaches. Within the EC project Webtex-pert methodological insights have been gained. Tools have been developed in cooperation with DITF-MR to favour effective dynamic collaboration for inventive TTT across network of knowledge mediators.

Based on this latest methodological development, main objective is to fully exploit the European excellence in TTT and available networks and initiatives as IRCs to set-up an experimental but concrete action by means of a pilot service targeting three European lead sectors, namely aerospace/security, automotive and textile as pilot areas for promising cross-sectorial TTT opportunities. The pilot audience consist of SMEs, Large enterprises, Industrial Associations and Groupings, Universities and research centres as well as technology brokers, development agencies and even individuals as beneficiaries of or sources for TTT.
