Final Report Summary - SPARCS (Statistical Physics Approach to Reconstruction in Compressed Sensing)
As recognized early by Claude Shannon with its use of the word "entropy", there have always been deep connections between the field of theoretical statistical physics, on the one hand, and computer science, signal processing and algorithms, on the other one. The SPARCS projects aimed at using this connection in the development and the analysis of algorithms and in particular the proposal of new ideas in the field of compressed sensing and sparse complex problems. It has already led to the development and analysis of new algorithmic ideas that have proven successful and cutting edge in many different situations and applications: error correcting codes, tomography, computational optics, data analysis, machine learning, and theoretical computer science. Freely available softwares that has been developed within this project can be download here: http://www.lps.ens.fr/~krzakala/WASP.html(odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)
