Start-up and Operation of Mobility Centre in Sweden (MOBILITY CENTRE SWE)

Cel

The Swedish EU/R&D-Council has been appointed and authorized to work as Mobility Centre in Sweden by the Swedish Ministry of Education and Research. The work - under the name "Research in Sweden" - will be conducted in cooperation with two other governmental organisations, the Swedish Institute and the Swedish Research Council. Furthermore, a national mobility network will be formed with Swedish universities, research-institutes, companies, governmental agencies etc to improve the information for and about mobile researchers. This network will act as an "information-ring"; any information put into the ring will be disseminated and improved by the members. The main purpose of Research in Sweden is to provide information and assistance to both incoming and outgoing researchers. Advice and assistance to incoming researchers is presently being done at the research organisations themselves. No central resource exists. Research in Sweden will be the new additional central information, contact point and resource, both for researchers themselves and Research organisations. All incoming researchers will find a place for practical information and guidance. All outgoing researchers will find a general guide to European research possibilities. All research organisations in Sweden will find both an information resource (to use in their contacts with incoming researchers) and a place to market their ideas to attract promising researchers. By the end of a three year period Research in Sweden expects to have obtained: - A complete information base (web-portal and information material) of issues relevant to incoming researchers - A well known and used helpdesk function for researchers and research organisations - An international "market place" for Swedish Research - A thorough awareness amongst incoming/outgoing researchers and Swedish research organisations of Research in Sweden and its services
