Final Report Summary - SINGLECELLDYNAMICS (Optofluidic toolkit for characterizing single-cell dynamics in systems immunology)
We have developed early prototype devices that are able to measure time-dependent protein secretion from individual cells. These early devices could maintain 40 cells at a time, and measure the secretion of several proteins every 2 hours from these single cells. Using these systems, we investigated how the secretion of inflammatory molecules depend on cell-to-cell variability in various signaling networks.
