Final Activity Report Summary - INTERMODE (Integration of Ecosystem Data, Remote Sensing and Advanced Modelling for Improved European Carbon Balance Estimates)
The CARBOEUROPE ecosystem-level ground-based observations of carbon and water balance and MODIS remote sensing data have been combined in a diagnostic biospheric modelling framework that allows an improved continental monitoring of vegetation productivity and carbon balance in response the climate change and climate extremes like the European 2003 summer heat wave.
