I.Q. Tools aims to give an evaluation of the policy at the initial stage of the proposal: given the policy draft produced by the Commission, with the I.Q. Tools it is possible to assess the potential effects of the policy on the three dimensions of sustainability if these effects lead to the sustainable objectives or not and the significance of these impacts. The objectives of the project can be characterised by the three key outputs. Output 1 is an indicator review and a list of key indicators for priority areas. This includes a review of existing assessment practices that try to integrate more than one dimension of sustainable development. Output 2 provides a decision-support tool for SIA.
