Autonomous Dronistics for Security (ADS): optimized services with fleets of flying robots

Periodic Reporting for period 1 - ADS Project (Autonomous Dronistics for Security (ADS): optimized services with fleets of flying robots)

Okres sprawozdawczy: 2015-03-01 do 2015-08-31

The “Autonomous Dronistics for Security” (ADS) project, proposed by Archon Technologies S.R.L. combines the field of drone technology with inspection and video surveillance, with the aim of providing a perfectly efficient, fully automatized service, capable of substituting human beings in repetitive or potentially dangerous operations.
Archon has been able to develop a software scheduling and coordinating the flight of multiple drones, a docking/recharging station that guarantees the 24/7 operability of the vehicles, the mapping of the area and the simulation in 3D of all drones operations through a web interface.
Archon has deposited two provisional patents at the Patent and Trademark Office in Us, while the details regarding AI operated-systems remain a trade secret.
The excellence of the technology developed is now being widely recognized, as it demonstrates the award of the first prize in the IT & Security category at Hello Tomorrow Tech Challenge, Paris (24th-26th June, 2015).
The flexibility of the service provided by Archon along with its innovative technology have raised interest among important high-profile potential customers, particularly in the field of automatic inspection (industrial plants, critical infrastructure and maintenance of planes), a sector of the market which appears extremely promising in terms of future revenues. Archon has established several contacts, by performing various on-site operations and virtual simulations of its technology for industries that have requested to test Archon drone technology on site. Given the positive outcome of these surveys, it is now working in terms of future partnerships and/or investments with two of these potential customers in France, a country whose regulation in drone matters offers a greater freedom of action. Archon now intends to invest in the production of prototypes ready do be installed and effectively set in operation.

In addition to these accomplishments, Archon has also realized a joint venture with LaserNavigation, a company with a 15 years track record in the market and a sound operational and technological expertise. At the end of this phase, Archon therefore registers not only a growth of personnel but also an augmented hardware/software competence.
