Engineering in vitro microenvironments for translation of cell-based therapies for tendon repair

IDF and patent filings

To protect intellectual property, three patents strengthening European innovation in cell-based therapy development will be filed: i) methods to differentiate dermal fibroblasts (DFs) and stem cells (BMSCs) towards tenogenic lineage; ii) methods to maintain tendon-specific function in vitro; and iii) the final tendon substitute products.

Digital media dissemination

Led by NUI Galway, digital media dissemination will include the Tendon Therapy website and dedicated project accounts on social media including twitter and linked-in. All press releases will also be issued electronically.
