Rezultaty

Public Website

Design, structure and content of public project website for dissemination of results.

Common Semantic Model

Final version of the openMOS common semantic model. This model will be published in the formal identified by D3.3. It will cover all the core definitions required to allow a seamless integration of diverse plug&produce devices within the factory automation domain. The purpose of the common semantic model will not be to provide definitions for all possible technical areas in the automation domain but focus on the core models/specifications which will allow rapid integration, operation and optimisation of plug&produce devices within a networked systems.

Open Plug-and-Produce Manufacturing Service Bus

Final version of the openMOS open plug&produce manufacturing service bus. This will be both the middleware as well as associated documentation of how to implement and use it within the manufacturing context. The technology stack will be based on open source developments to ensure the open source development philosophy of the openMOS project can be maintained and results can be freely shared. Possible commercial extensions and service packages should never the less be possible.

Open plug&produce device adaptor prototype

Software deliverable with the prototype implementation of the openMOS plug&produce device adapter. The adapter will implement the following capabilities: • Automatic discovery: as soon as the device is plugged into the system, it will be recognised by the system. Simple plug&produce devices would use identification with technologies like RFID that have a small level of complexity and can support even passive storage and transmission of information. Additionally a RFID interface for work piece tracking in pallet based transportation system will synchronise with the Product Agent (WP3)) • Self-description: each device would have embedded information about the capabilities that it has, skills that it can per-form, data that it gathers, and different analysis that it does. All these are subject to the level of complexity that a plug&produce device has. • Energy efficiency capabilities (WP4): Intelligent devices would have the capability to analyse their own performance and continuously improve themselves. A preliminary version will be developed for M9.

Embedded Skill Executor and self-adaptation core

Software prototype: embedded skill executor and self-adaptation core. This deliverable will provide SoC/FPGA service wrappers and the Skill Executor, to allow low level embedded control functionality to be called and configured via the service bus of the openMOS system architecture. CODESYS will be used as base platform for the Skill Executor implementation as it is a widely used platform for soft-PLC development. The intention is to keep the same basic interface to define the control behaviour of individual skills. This capability will be extended by allowing dynamic refinement of interlocking between components through event and control flow reconfiguration. Also, each device will have its own embedded extended self-awareness capabilities. Self-awareness will be based on an extended range of sensors such as energy meters, temperature senses, etc. which will be linked to model learning algorithm to continuously improve the known models of the device state. This information together with critical events will be communicated up to the cyber-physical agent system via a service bus. A preliminary version will be developed for M12.

Assessment of current service bus technologies

Benchmarking results from the evaluation of different potential service buses to be used as basis for the openMOS open development platform. Specific attention will be given to technical capability as well as commercial considerations such as licensing, user community, support, etc. A first version of the openMOS service bus based on the selected technology will be made available. The selection results and instructions for the general implementation of the service bus will be made available.

Detailed Review and Evaluation of Relevant Standardi-sation Activities Report

This deliverable will report the results from a comprehensive review of relevant standardisation activities related to the openMOS project. Suitable standardisation bodies and working groups will be identified and the potential for closer collaboration/alignment assessed.

White Paper – openMOS Development Platform for Plug&Produce Automation Components

A white paper will be produced which will bring together all the key elements of the openMOS technology platform and act as a clear communication tool to guide the development of openMOS compatible plug and produce automation components and supporting software services.

Assessment of the current semantic model technologies

The assessment results of different potential semantic models to exchange harmonised content information between plug&produce devices will be published in this deliverable. Key content information considered essential to enable plug&produce of automation devices will be specified in agreement with all the partners. The emphasis will be on both format and content of for instance device self-descriptions, skill definitions, recipe specifications, quality and other key performance indicators.

Open Innovation Plug&Produce Component Business Model

This deliverable will detail the open innovation based business model developed for openMOS and its wider community of developers, component providers and end users. This will be done in the form of a public document which will highlight all the key stakeholders and discuss the expected value proposition, value creation and value capturing possibilities within the context of the openMOS business model.

Open System Platform

Specification and implementation of the open Manufacturing Operating System platform. This will interface with the manufacturing service bus developed by WP3 and dynamically interface/synchronise with the plug&produce components available in the network. Agent shells for produce, resource and transport agents will be provided. Communication protocols between the different agent types will be harmonised and embedded in the agent shells.

Industrial Requirements for Plug-and-Produce Systems and Components

This deliverable will identify first the goals and requirements underlying an evolvable production systems and second, identify and characterise the evaluation parameters that will be used to test and evaluate the system. The User Requirements will be developed out of the end-user needs. Therefore, a preliminary version will be first drafted and then inputted into the methodology to get feedback for the final version. The evaluation parameters will also be set out of industrial sustainability constraints. This approach will enable to create a clear testing metric to identify how openMOS performs compared to more traditional approaches. A short roadmap will also be produced defining how new and existing manufacturing processes may be integrated in the openMOS approach.

Standardisation Activities Mid-Term Report

This deliverable will report the progress of standardisation activities and update the review of relevant standardisation bodies related to the openMOS technology platform.

openMOS Output Matrix

The openMOS output matrix will be developed using a Technological Implementation Plan (TIP) and a TIP-questionnaire. The matrix will show IPR cross-interrelationships between all involved parties (RTD performer/end users) and exploitable results. In particular: • Identification of the results that will be protected (through patents or copyrights) and by whom (several participants shall find an agreement in case of joint ownership). Lboro will provide moderation in those cases as they do not have own IPR in the project results and can hence handle all IP management aspects with complete neutrality • Identification of the results to be exploited (through license or specific access rights) and by whom (within and outside the consortium after the completion of the project) The output matrix will act as an instrument to monitor openMOS knowledge production efficiently and to identify critical situations rapidly.

Report on Training Activities

Summary of training activities which took place during the openMOS project and collection of teaching material developed during the project. This will be made available as part of the open source project to allow future users and application developers to engage with the openMOS community.

Open Plug-and-Produce Architecture (Whitepaper)

The final version of the openMOS architecture will be published as a white paper. This white paper will detail all the core technology stack, the key functional components of the openMOS system, their interactions and how to implement extensions to the framework. The purpose is to allow third party developers to use and create their own contributions to the framework. Hence, the architecture will be deliberately modular and extendable and fully documented. The corresponding software middleware will also be made freely available.

Finally public test and validation report for all demonstrators

Summary of all the test results from all three WP6 demonstrator systems. The results will be made publicly available and any company specific or otherwise sensitive information will be removed without compromising the overall performance indicators of the test. Emphasis will be on the robustness of the openMOS platform and how well it copes with changeovers and production optimisation.

Specification of large simulation demonstrator

Specification and documentation of the large scale, hardware-in-the-loop simulation test bed for scaleability testing. Hardware and software requirements will be clearly specified for building a system based on small low cost controllers which can be easily extended to test large systems using embedded simulation models.

Open Plug and Produce Architecture Specification

Specification of the first initial version of the openMOS plug&produce reference architecture. The deliverable will outline the key technical and conceptual definitions required to ensure the seamless integration and interoperability of plug&produce devices. This initial version will act as a conceptual framework for the further development of the openMOS middleware.

Validation Results

The final validation results of the openMOS technology platform will be reported in this public deliverable. The objective of this report will be to assess the economic and environmental of the new process/system and of the industrial applications selected as demonstrators (i.e., adherence to normative RoHS and WEEE). The task activity will be organised in three main subtasks: • Analysis of new openMOS technology step • Analysis of self-organisational process • Analysis of industrial applications (production and use of demonstrators)

Performance Metrics and Monitoring Framework Specifications

Specification of all key performance indicators which will be supported as part of openMOS. Clear definitions and mathematical models will be provided for each KPI based on existing standards and commonly excepted definitions in the automation domain. Provisions for the use of alternative KPI calculation schemes will be made.
