Web-based information system

Definition and setup of an online tool providing easily accessible and comprehensive information concerning the Brazil-EU cooperation landscape on Research & Innovation (R&I). It will provide special attention to the promotion of opportunities offered by Horizon 2020, but also intending to be a comprehensive system, encompassing information from other policies, programmes and instruments relevant to Brazil-EU R&I cooperation.

Strategic R&I Cooperation Action Plans

Action Plan designed for each of the Brazil-EU Research & Innovation priority areas, including structural scenarios (anticipating how the identified R&I trends, opportunities, drivers and barriers would progress in the long term) and roadmaps (outlining concrete measures to be adopted and/or deployed by BR and EU R&I actors in order to most benefit from the identified cooperation hot-topics).

R&I Cooperation Survey Report

Assessment of the cooperation performance of Brazilian and EU R&I actors in projects funded by Research & Innovation programmes in Brazil and EU, particularly under the 7th Framework Programme (FP7) and Horizon 2020 (H2020).

Guidelines for R&I Programme Alignment

Document comprising specific measures for funding agencies to adjust their mechanisms and instruments to help making the best value of their Research & Innovation (R&I) funding programmes for the benefit of Brazil-EU R&I cooperation. The Guidelines will also comprise long-term recommendations, providing specific suggestions at the programme level.

Practical Guide on BR-EU R&I Cooperation Networks

Document with concrete obstacles and barriers, as well as good practices and lessons learnt from the Networks supported, along with a summary of the general support provided to these Networks.

Annual Participation Monitoring and Analysis Reports

Document presenting the results of the monitoring of Brazilian participation in Horizon 2020 and in transnational programmes as well as of the monitoring of EU participation in Brazilian Research & Innovation Programmes. This is a periodical report, published at Month 15, Month 25 and Month 35.

List of Priority R&I Topics for Long Term Cooperation

List of R&I topics considered by stakeholders and experts as with most potential to boost scientific, technological and innovation cooperation between BR and EU in the long term, building upon the results and conclusions of the Strategic Foresight Workshop and of the Public Consultation organized in task 1.2

Training Camps Reports

Summary of the activities, discussions, results and outcomes of the 2 training camps organized (1 in Brazil and 1 in Europe), oriented to attend the demands, needs and interests of EU and Brazilian funding agencies.

Report on Mobilizing Events

Summary of the 2 brokerage events organized (1 in Europe and 1 in Brazil) aiming to raise awareness among stakeholders and to fostering new cooperation schemes among them.

Policy Roadshows Report

Summary of the results of the 2 Policy Roadshows organized (1 in Brazil and 1 in Europe) to disseminate and discuss with Brazilian and EU Research & Innovation-related policy makers the Guidelines for Funding Alignment and Policy Briefs (task 3.4).

Annual Mutual Promotion Activities Report

Document reporting the activities implemented to disseminate information on existing funding opportunities as well as to provide capacity building and support services. This is a periodical report, published in Month 13, Month 23 and finally in Month 33.

Strategic Scoping Workshops Report

Summary of the discussions of the 2 Strategic Scoping Workshops organized (1 in Brazil, 1 in Europe) which aim to stimulate the discussion on how to align and harmonize Research & Innovation funding priorities, policies, programmes and instruments bilaterally as well as aligning with relevant EU Programmes (such as H2020) and transnational initiatives (JPI, Era-Nets, etc.).
