Periodic Reporting for period 1 - EEN-Innovate PT (EEN-Innovate PT)

Okres sprawozdawczy: 2017-01-01 do 2018-12-31

One of the objectives of KAM, EIMC and signaling proposed services was to identify services to innovative and competitive companies that are able to respond to the
immediate challenges posed by Europe, taking advantage of the new impetus given by the EU, especially about the Single Market, as regards the use of "creating additional opportunities for ( ...)businesses ..." as well as "the modernization and innovation in Europe ", preparing the most innovative companies to respond immediately to new challenges, such as e-commerce, or helping SMEs and Startups growing, taking advantage of the opportunities created by the “investment plan” or the “Capital Markets Union”, and also preparing them, through appropriate action plan, to adapt themselves to the new European standards system, and to the consolidation of “ European intellectual property framework”.
Another objective was to ensure that the most innovative and able to internationalize companies could better understand and respond to the EU initiatives in the framework of circular economy, promoting the three priorities of excellence of science, industrial leadership and societal challenges.
The main goal of this project was to contribute to a greater economic impact from innovation activities in SMEs, by reinforcing their innovation management capacity and contributing to establish more effective and efficient links between actors through all the innovation chain.
In order to achieve the above objective, 2 main target groups and 2 specific objectives were defined:
1) SMEs beneficiaries of Horizon 2020 SME Instrument (Phase 1 and Phase 2);
2) SMEs with significant innovation activities and a high potential for internationalisation;
For the WP 2017-2018, the consortium proposed to deliver a 3rd service to a new target group:
3) SMEs awarded with a Seal of Excellence from H2020 SME Instrument;
In summary, the partners participating in this project (IAPMEI, ADI, CEC and INESC) had foressen to deliver a total of 119 services covering all the country.
The aim of the Consortium was to help companies to identify and integrate their innovation activities in order to raise their sustainability and competitiveness. In other words, the aim was to stimulate national companies to innovate in a more efficiently and systematically way.
After the second period of offering these services, the Consortium notices that has helped many of the served companies to be more competitive in the global market, fulfilling the project expectations of helping SMEs to assimilate and apply the results of their R&D&I projects in new or improved products and services, processes, methods or business models.
The outputs can be verified by:
More companies are being supported by H2020 programs;
PT Clients are benefitting from national R&D&I programmes with ERDF component. Signposting to these instruments resulted from support provided under the EIMC umbrella (Knowledge Management) and Enterprise Europe Network COSME activities;
More companies, including Start Ups, are getting visibility among potential investors to access to finance;
The aim of the project was to support 119 companies and we concluded the period 2017/2018 serving 131 SME’s, 54 (27 completed) benefiting from KAM services and 77 (62 completed) from EIMC support.
