Periodic Reporting for period 1 - SIRENA (An emancipation device to increase mobility for disabled people)

Okres sprawozdawczy: 2017-02-01 do 2017-05-31

With SIRENA stair climber we want to achieve a universal solution working in any kind of stairs, easily portable, comfortable and with unrivaled safety product. To meet the commercial and safety requirements, we will prepare prototypes for 2 scenarios of motion mechanism and perform the necessary tests to define the best model. We will perform a risk assessment to make sure that the most relevant risks are identified and a contingency plan set. For an unrestricted commercialization achieving certifications is crucial along with the development of relationships with distributors and suppliers. TGR will also examine the business opportunity for producing handling and lifting equipment and will select the best markets for initial commercialization of SIRENA, as well as for further expansion and internationalization. Also, TGR has built up a 5 years’ sales plan, thus, our commercial strategy to reach sales objectives.
A FTO analysis has been performed guaranteeing that SIRENA project can be commercialised. In addition, a research for the required certification of both models was conducted. Regarding the technical progress, we developed a cost analysis, the design of the frame is complete and further studies have been performed in order to finalise the disassemble system and the ergonomic study during these 4 months. In the commercialization plan we analysed the new targeted markets to evaluate their volume, end users and the best penetration strategy. The research done for strong local partnerships with pharmacists, associations and resellers internationally, resulted in numerous commercial agreements in the EU. Moreover, our presence at the trade shows for rehabilitation and construction equipment helped us to build relationships with more clients and distributors.
TGR’s objective is to solve the mobility problem of disabled people by providing them with a safe, lighter (-30%) and transportable device able to bypass any architectural barrier and giving them the opportunity to live a fuller life. SIRENA will also ensure proper H&S conditions for workers when lifting heavy equipment, thus, will improve their working performance and quality of life. With SIRENA TGR will become a technological reference with a unique and universal solution that will disrupt into EU and international markets in the personnel mobility and lifting equipment fields. SIRENA’s economic impact is estimated in €8,3M turnover and 10 direct employees by the 3rd commercial year.
