Report on the future of cosmopolitanism in Europe

Report on the future of cosmopolitanism in Europe. This text will provide the outline of a possible future and desirable cosmopolitan ideal for the EU. It will start from the given circumstances and necessary requirements for any legitimate transnational and European order and argue for a European multilevel system, which would guarantee democracy, basic rights and respect for diversity within Europe, have fairly open borders for immigrants willing to come to the EU and be fully integrated in a globally legitimate and just structure. These findings will also be presented and discussed at the Final Conference.

Review essay of approaches to cosmopolitan democracy

Review essay of approaches to cosmopolitan justice and democracy: The essay will describe the various existing models, recast them in their theoretical and political context and expose their key concepts and arguments. It will clarify the different kinds of cosmopolitanism that these approaches suggest, especially for Europe, and determine if some elements of those conceptions complement or exclude each other. The essay will also explain, which could be the most attractive approach for Europe considering how the migration and refugee crisis affects and changed the European norm and value context.

"Report on the discourses and debates on immigration society in Germany, Hungary, Poland, France and Sweden (published on the project’s website) including a two page policy brief (EC template). In addition, the consortium envisages the possibility of organising a ""policy-roundtable"" (half-day meeting) in Brussels between the coordinator and relevant EC asylum policy officer/s."
