Throughout this project, we have developed and implemented new designs for soft-clamped mechanical force sensors. Fabrication processes were optimized to produce defect-free sensors with high yield. We have made efforts to protect these results. We have upgraded characterization setups to reliably determine sensor properties, including those of largest commercial interest. Finally, we have conducted a market survey based on a web questionnaire, to determine device characteristics of interest, acceptable pricing, and an indication of market volume, to inform decisions on further exploitation.
