The world’s highest Signal-to-Noise ratio MEMS microphone

Periodic Reporting for period 1 - OptiMEMS (The world’s highest Signal-to-Noise ratio MEMS microphone)

Okres sprawozdawczy: 2018-12-01 do 2019-05-31

There is a growing need for miniature size, affordable and “human-grade” performance microphones. sensiBel’s patented microphone technology is capable of registering sound waves far beyond the range that microphones in this price class can do today.
The main objective of sensiBel’s OptiMEMS SME Instrument Phase 1 project “The world’s highest Signal-to-Noise ratio MEMS microphone” was to gain better understanding about how sensiBel will organize the production of the microphone and support business development activities.
The first subobjective of the feasibility study was to update the business plan. The work performed included defining and analysing target customer segments with estimated target available market sizes and producing initial segment strategies. Also, a detailed mapping of competitors, customers, and partners was carried out. Creating a detailed commercialisation plan involved formulating a go-to-market plan, including sales and distribution and digital marketing plans, and an updated IPR status and strategy. An analysis of the economic viability, including financial projections, pricing strategy, and risk assessment were produced. The second subobjective was to produce a plan on production scale-up, which involved planning the production of MEMS mics, management of the supplier network, and conducting the production scale-up.
The OptiMEMs project achieved the planned objectives and the feasibility study has provided the means to take the next steps according to the updated business plan.
