Different activities are planned for dissemination Thus a report will be prepared by the end of the project reporting all the different activities performed during the project

D2.6 Part II - Scientific seminars from international researchers on Cryo-EM areas (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

A total of 2 seminars per year will be organized at ITQB NOVA to be presented by scientists well established in the field The selection of speakers will consider the different methodologies of the CryoEM technology and as much as possible cover research scientific projects overlapping those of the MX Unit One of the goals will be to bring scientists recognized as landmarks in the CryoEM methodologies for instance those that were awarded the 2017 Nobel Prize of Chemistry This deliverable concerns to the second part of these seminars

Dissemination will be achieved mainly through participation in scientific conferences and thematic workshops and publishing of the results in high impact specialized peerreviewed journals We will aim to participate in scientific conferences specific to the different research projects that are ongoing in our MX Unit namely cancer viral infections and cellular substructures results of the different projects with major contributions directly arising from the shortterm visits to the Widening partners will be especially highlighted

D3.2 Plan of the career development short courses for early-stage researchers (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

A devoted WP (WP3) to the career development of early-stage researchers are planned within the proposal. The activities planned are training session regarding grant and scientific writing; communicating science, and IPR training. Thus a detail plan of the career development short courses for early-stage researchers will be performed based on the discussions that will occur during the kick-off-meeting.

D4.4 Participant evaluation of the Mini-symposium Pharmaceutical Cryo-EM applications (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

Our exploitation strategy will include the organization of a minisymposium targeted at pharmaceutical companies to raise awareness to the potential contribution of CryoEM to drug discovery and development pipelines One of the goals will be to collect the views and ideas of the industrial participants about their needs and problems to which science may provide solutions Different pharmaceutical companies will be invited to participate those that have already experience in CryoEM methodologies and others that have not started their studies using CryoEM The impact will be evaluated based on the quiz to the participants and on the diversity of the different pharmaceutical companies that will participate in the minisymposium

D 4.2 Outreach activities (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

Outreach activities will be promoted for the general public but also devoted to students from high school undergraduate master and doctoral levels The goal is to communicate the vast implications of Structural Biology by setting the basis for a twoway dialogue with target audiences increase the visibility and reputation of the project and partners perhaps also encouraging some of the young people to consider careers in science
