TSS (Truck Safe Services) is a fuel theft prevention system for large vehicles that detects robberies before any fuel is stolen.
The objectives of the present project to make TSS a global leader connectivity world are:
• Define the product requirements
• Define a working plan
• Select adequate technologies
• Define a commercial program and identify regulatory requirements
• Build a business plan
The main results of this study are:
Technological Conclusions
• TSS will be able to offer an end-to-end service and integrate with legacy Fleet Management Services.
• TSS will be prepared to scale-up.
• We can ensure security in communications but we need to look for technological partners specialized in App development.
Commercial conclusions
• We have widened our target markets including the tractors and the liquid deposits in farms markets.
• We have decided to face mainly the market with a B2B model.
• We have designed a promotion plan that will follow a multichannel strategy
Financial conclusions
• TSS is viable under the assumptions we believe acceptable and will generate substantial value for shareholders.
• TSS will help Handfleet to scale and it will have a significant contribution to the creation of jobs in our company.
• TSS can detect fuel theft attempts during all the truck working cycle
• TSS can be used to avoid internal fraud
• TSS can identify theft attempts before any damages of the truck happen.
TSS will have a material economic impact because diesel theft in trucks can reach in the world the amount of 2 billion euros and the total implications (fuel + damages + other costs) could exceed €20 B per year. It will also give increase the safety of the trucks and the drivers.
