Manufacture of nanostructured Conjugated Porous Polymers for energy applications

Periodic Reporting for period 1 - NanoCPPs (Manufacture of nanostructured Conjugated Porous Polymers for energy applications)

Okres sprawozdawczy: 2020-09-01 do 2022-02-28

NanoCPPs project proposes an innovative strategy based on the use of high-throughput microfluidic technologies as smart method to scale-up the miniemulsion synthesis of low dispersity nanoparticles of conjugated porous polymers (NanoCPPs) to be manufactured, processed and commercialized. The main technical goal related with the evaluation of the feasibility of this NanoCPPs and thin film thereof into precommercial stage has been achieved. The first action of the project has been related with those technical steps to accomplish the Scale up from milligram to more economic several grams production of nanostructures CPPs by microfluidic techniques and also the performance to produce high quality thin films and coating over conductive and transparent support like ITO (Indium tin oxide) or even other inorganic semiconductor layer (i.e. TiO2, BiVO4, etc). This objective has been successfully achieved allowing the second action regarding the transfer to market of this new technology.
It has been tested in our lab that is possible to manufacture NanoCPPs in multigram scale. At the same time, colloidal dispersion of NanoCPPs have been employed to prepare thin film thanks to a great control in both the nanoparticle size and polydispersity.
This new technology is being licencing right now and in parallel, a market study and several contacts with industries have been carried out.
