Safety criteria and requirements for the SCW-SMR concept

The basic safety criteria and requirements already exist aiming at minimizing the risk of accidents As a first step a compilation of the basic general safety criteria and requirements for SMRs contained in the relevant documents of the IAEA and GIF will be used as a starting point to develop the specific safety criteria and requirements for the SCCSMR concept Experience from the SMR ENERGY WELL design implementation will be used In particular the concepts of defenceindepth physical protection and security and nonproliferation principles safety security and safeguards will be described in this deliverable
