COMPONENTS’ AND MATERIALS’ PERFORMANCE FOR ADVANCED SOLAR SUPERCITICAL CO2 POWERPLANTS

Rezultaty

Communication and Dissemination Plan

Plan for communication and dissemination of project results. To be updated at each reporting period. It will include the main activities, milestones, stakeholders addressed by the project, communication tools, a thorough schedule of the work plan.

Demonstration of New Cr aluminides and production as coupons for WP4 testing

Characterisation, and performance in regard to base mechanical properties. This will include papers and conference presentations in months 24, 36 and 48.

Performance in oxidizing and carburizing atmospheres

Characteristics and performance in regard to oxidation, corrosion, CO2 in atmospheric and supercritical conditions, understanding the degradation mechanisms

Correlated modelling-microstructure-mechanical property understanding of the new materials

This will deliverable will include papers and conference presentations in months 36 and 48.

Particle optimization by modifying chemical composition

With the aid of modelling the impact of varying particle composition will be determined. This will enable to identify possible doping elements which cause blackening due to e.g. charge transfer effects or increase the abrasion/attrition resistance. This deliverable describes the synthesized particles and their characteristics.

Design summary of the commissioned particles loop

This deliverable will describe the particle loop built at CVR, giving insight about its design parameters, components selected, sensors as well as commissioning experience.

Process parameters of solar sCO2 Brayton cycle

Based on literature research and the knowhow of the partners the relevant process parameters of the power block will be fixed as a starting point for the other work packages

Particle optimization by surface treatment

D2.1: “Particle optimization by surface treatment”: describes the different surface treatment technologies aimed to improve the properties of the selected particles, and provides the results of the particle characteristics.

Process parameters of solar particle cycle

Based on literature research and the knowhow of the partners the relevant process parameters of the concentrated solar thermal plant will be fixed as a starting point for the other work package

Demonstration of New Cr silicides and production as coupons for WP4 testing

Characterization, and performance in regard to base mechanical properties. This will include papers and conference presentations in months 24, 36 and 48.

Production of optimised steel / Ni substrates with advanced Cr aluminide/silicide coatings, coupons for WP4

The outcome of the Task 3.3 will be documented in this deliverable regarding the surface modifications of state-of-the-art materials.

COMPASsCO2 website and communication materials

Project Website to be launched at month 3rd and updated throughout the project with news information events scientific papers and public deliverables produced by the projectPublic communication materials and visual identity to be used for project branding through eg project poster project Power Point presentation brochure leaflets newsletters website and videos
