Reactor for testing catalysts used for the removal of gases for exhaust systems of burning installations. The reactor enables testing these catalysts under conditions similar (flow rate, etc.) to those found in real installations. The reactor permit one to test these catalysts with a minimum consumption of gases, providing conditions very similar to those found in real exhaust systems of medium or small burning installations.
A re-circulating reactor have been designed and constructed where catalyst can be tested under conditions similar to those found in real exhaust systems. The reactor has a re-circulating configuration that minimises the consumption of gases. It can be considered and intermediate pilot plant for testing of catalyst and/or processes developed for removal of pollutant gases produced fuel combustion plants, incinerators, etc. Parameters as flow rate, amount and type of presentation of catalyst, temperature, etc. can be modified for a proper evaluation of the performance of catalysts under similar conditions than in real facilities.
