Cel The German Federal Office for Radiation Protection (BfS) is organising the 5th International Conference on "High Levels of Natural Radiation and Radon Areas: Radiation Dose and Health Effects" to be held at Munich, Germany, September 4-7, 2000. This Conference is the 5th in a series of scientific symposia organised by the International Committee on High Levels of Natural Radiation and Radon Areas (ICHLNRRAS) in co-operation with international and national institutions. It will include sessions devoted to the investigation of high-level natural radiation areas, radon in the environment, biological effects, epidemiological studies and related issues in radiation protection. The main topics will be introduced by invited lectures and sufficient time will be reserved for the scientific and technical exchange on current and future work. We expect ca. 400 participants.
