Systeme de coulee universel pour alliages dentaires dont le titane universal casting machine for dental alloys including titanium

Rezultaty

The Denticast prototype is in function at the co-ordinator site (Lemouel S.A.). This prototype is able to cast all the current dental alloys, including titanium. In order to avoid sensitive alloys metallurgical problems (mainly titanium) the casting process is performed under secondary argon vacuum (meaning several cycles vacuum - argon). In order to keep the metal as clean as possible, the induction melting was adopted, either in the ceramic crucible or from segmented metallic bars. Centrifugal casting process assures the evacuation of gases and segregation of eventual impurities and segregations. The process is completely automated, once established an optimal casting regime, the automation system permit the reproduction of the same technological conditions from the machine memory.

Taking into account the gravitational and radial-progressive centrifugal force inside the distributor, an analytical shape for internal evacuation channels was calculated. If the analytical shape is not respected, molten material rest and solidifies inside the distributor, eventually obtruding the evacuation channels. On the other hand, the solidified materials inside the distributor need supplementary labour for removing operations and represent a waste of material.
